OUR COMMITMENT TO DIGITAL INCLUSION
Nova Satus LLC is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities, including individuals who are blind, low-vision, deaf, hard of hearing, or mobility-impaired. We continually enhance the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA Title III), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 Level AA).
1. Conformance Status & Standards
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for individuals with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
Nova Satus is engineered to adhere to WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards across all public-facing and authenticated portal interfaces, including:
- Color Contrast Ratios: Text and user interface components meet or exceed the minimum 4.5:1 contrast ratio against dark backgrounds.
- Screen Reader Compatibility: Semantic HTML5 landmarks (
<header>,<nav>,<main>,<footer>), explicit ARIA dialog attributes, and descriptive form label associations. - Keyboard Navigation: Complete navigation and interactive form controls accessible via standard keyboard tabbing without trap conditions, highlighted by high-visibility focus indicators.
- Skip to Content: Direct keyboard bypass link allowing assistive technology users to skip repetitive header navigation and jump immediately to main content.
- Zoom & Text Resizing: Full layout compatibility and fluid reflow when browsers are magnified up to 200% without loss of content or horizontal text truncation.
- Reduced Motion: Support for the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia feature, minimizing animations for individuals sensitive to visual motion.
2. Assistive Technology Support
Nova Satus is designed to be compatible with modern assistive technologies, including:
- Screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver (macOS / iOS), and TalkBack (Android);
- Screen magnification software (ZoomText, OS-level screen magnifiers);
- Speech recognition software for voice control; and
- Standard keyboard navigation and switch-access devices.
3. Accessible Alternative Formats & Total Permanent Disability (TPD) Discharges
Borrowers with severe medical conditions, cognitive impairments, or physical disabilities may also qualify for a Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) discharge under 34 C.F.R. ยง 685.213, discharging 100% of federal student loan debt without bankruptcy.
If you require assistance reviewing your loan records, navigating the platform, or obtaining generated OMB application packages or court-formatted ledgers in an alternative format (such as large-print PDF or human-assisted verification), our team is prepared to assist you directly at no additional charge.
